What is the Difference Between Laptop and Netbook?
So, what is the difference between laptop and netbook? A laptop (is) also known as a notebook computer that was specifically designed to be made portable, with a hinged screen, a keyboard. A laptop contains a portable power, and a touchpad instead of a mouse for input.
Mini laptops (also known as a netbook, subnotebook, or ultraportables) take these ideas further and creates a new market in handheld computers, smart phones and personalDigital Assistants. The main characteristic of these are smaller size and weight, are quite similar, the average diary and cost from less than a standard laptop with prices around £ 150, an excellent solution during the credit crisis!
Mini-laptops are not as powerful as larger notebook computer, and they lack the power for large, complex programs, and an optical drive - no CDs or DVDs. Nevertheless, the connection is at the center for netbooks. Internet downloads are fast catching up on hard media products, it is perhaps not such a loss.
In short, the difference between laptop and netbook netbook is smaller, lighter, cheaper (in general) and simpler.
New mini-laptops are expected in the region of 5.2 million units by the end of 2008, sell 8 million in 2009 and up to 50 million by 2012 - a growth factor of ten. Industry analysts are torn whether to exploit the sub-notebooks> Laptop market, some suggesting that only a market share taken by 10%. But even in this economic downturn, people always cheaper products and overlooking mini-laptops are available from $ 150-200, maybe there is a huge market has gone.
How is the game for the standard laptop and PC? Unlikely, while mini-laptops to perform dozens of tasks for identical or similar level of larger computers, they are (currently) of battery sizes are limited,Computing power and storage space, the difference between laptop and netbook is strong enough to make obsolete, not the former.
Moreover, if a computer could, with over a long period, it makes sense to use a larger screen and a faster processor, a desktop-replacement laptop or a PC, especially for the most demanding programs such as games.
And finally, just cheap laptops, but of varying quality are available for around £ 200-300 which someIndustry analysts believe that consumers will be focused on functionality and not just size and weight.
At the opposite end of the spectrum are made mobile phone manufacturers and providers with the development of the netbook market with the Samsung NC10, LG X110, and launch of the Carphone Warehouse Webbook - a laptop from Elonex brand. Vodafone has arms with Dell with its Inspiron Mini 9 3G broadband offers are contracts associated. Orange have followed suit and by cosying withAsus and the Eee PC 901
The difference between laptops and netbooks like very vague, but there is certainly room for both to work. If you have a laptop, even reading this on one, you stand on it. Feel the weight of it. Ask yourself, do I need all that extra room? Would I be better with something smaller and lighter - if the answers are yes, browse around the site.

| Review by David Krnavek (Durham, NC USA) 2010-03-09 I received this laptop (can't really call it a netbook with a dual-core and 4GB of RAM) last week after about a week of deliberation over the other options out there. In this 11.6" range, there's a pretty limited number of models to compare. If you're willing to pay another hundred dollars and up, you could get a faster processor. Likewise, you ... | Review by RJG (Bethany, CT) 2010-03-04 I purchased and returned this unit just today after receiving it from Amazon only yesterday. It is of high quality equal to the more widely known MFGs. I had to return it due to the lack of resolution, razor thin viewing angle and meaningless Gamma Ctrl from its 768 screen. I'm coming from a 5 year old Gateway 1600*900 M65 Core 2... I have used Windows in a home environment since the early 90's and I'm also a professional in the IT field, where I only work with Windows-based PC's on a daily basis. Windows and mid to higher end PC's definitely have advantages compared to OS X and the lack of connec... Read more Apple MacBook Pro reviews | ||
