I always had a Netbook discussed for over a year, but could not justify at $ 300. The Atom processor has been slow in some common tasks, the keyboards are almost never at full size and battery life has a good battery huge attack on the back. Finally, it seems that we are becoming more useful alternative to the new Culver (consumer Ultra Low Voltage), class of laptops. The Acer meets all my needs. While the Core 2 alone is not the speed demon, it fits well for me certainly the weekend and coffee shop run portable netbook type are known. For maximum performance, we recommend the latest video and sound drivers and excluded update Aero. The keyboard is full size and after a few days, I'm using typing with ease. The screen is average, but for the price I did not expect Sony or an Apple LCD. I wish it was not so brilliant, but I'm sure a matte finish would have only highlighted the mediocrity of the screen. Battery life is great. In general the use of Wi-Fi on, I was able to get more than 6.5 hours and full-screen mode to play XviD videos I switched about 5 hours before the battery is dead. $ 450 for this system, a business, and the business-level ultra-portable laptop, not too far from Acer sells for just under $ 2000 a little over a year ago. Although not everyone needs an ultra-portable laptop, I would say to anyone looking for a Netbook, or for that matter into serious consideration the Acer 1410.
